Professor Vicente Gentil was the scientist who introduced corrosion science to Brazil and one of the founders of the Brazilian Association of Corrosion (ABRACO). The Award, organized by ABRACO and established in 2008, is given to the best oral presentation at InterCorr, an international event held every two years.
Award Nominees
All congress members regularly registered for InterCorr 2027 who submitted an extended abstract or a full paper for oral presentation.
Selection Criteria
During the evaluation of the submitted extended abstracts or full papers, the reviewer indicates whether the respective work is a candidate to receive the Award.
All indicated works are candidates for the Award.
At least one month before the congress, an Evaluation Committee is appointed by the Congress Executive Committee, composed of three renowned experts.
Each member of the Evaluation Committee reads all nominated papers, and by mutual agreement, the Evaluation Committee selects the five best papers before the start of the congress.
During the conference, the members of the Evaluation Committee attend the oral presentations of the five selected papers.
Before the event concludes, the Evaluation Committee meets and selects the best work.
Winner Announcement
The award-winning works will be announced at the event's closing ceremony.
Selection Criteria
Fifteen days before the Congress, the InterCorr 2027 Executive Committee will appoint a Poster Review Committee, composed of five members.
The InterCorr 2027 Executive Committee will send 15 nominations to the Poster Awards Committee. These nominations will be based on the content of the extended abstract or the full paper.
Each member of the Poster Evaluation Committee evaluates the submitted works and, by mutual agreement, selects a maximum of the ten best works before the start of the congress.
